In the X5 price range, I'd buy a vette ( actually quite a bit less than my X5 - so I'd buy a cheap beater truck (Chevy) for winter too.

Hmmm...the list is getting longer (and better). SRT8 300. Mustang GT500. Upcoming Pontiac G8. Upcoming Caddy CTS-V (even the base CTS is gonna be hawt).

PS - QuickSilver, the F250 SuperDuty is a monster! I love mine, and can't wait to get my hands on an '08 to check out with the new 6.4L PowerStroke.

As a daily driver/commute car, I'm not sure since I haven't driven a Ford Fusion in a long time, and the rental we had was a 4 cyl (which was too coarse). The Pontiac G6 isnt half bad, but the base model we got as a loaner was base model with awful electric power steering and the transmission with gaps wider than the Grand Canyon. I'm sure either of these, when equipped properly, would work well.

As for sports cars............maybe the Pontiac G8 (After a test drive) or Ford GT. Although the latter apparently isn't very American at all, with all the foreign parts.
