Well Hello
Good to see all the originals on here - Greg, Kev, David, etc. After I originally disappeared from Roadfly last year, I realized that it was a bit odd to be talking to 40 and 50 year olds hours every day, but I guess its not as bad as some things. So not much new to report...I can add/delte a few cars from the good old neighborhood list. We can delete the Ferrari's and Lamborghinis and Bentley, but most fortunately we can add a Phantom and a Maybach 57. Lovely automobiles. And I myself am in the market for a car - I got my license about a month or so ago, had my permit for many months before that. I drive my Dad's X most of the time when I go somewhere, but am thinking of getting a new Accord or something like that. We aren't as rich or idiotic as some of the people around these online-woods who buy their kids brand new BMWs. So yeah that's about it - going to Hawaii for a vacation this summer, had a chance to go to Spain/Greece like Joel with my school, but decided against it because it was 3 weeks long and I HATED England and Scotland when I went there for vacation a couple years back for 3 weeks. ....hmmm lol..some of these smiley's are pretty gay. Does this site have the [oops!] thing? hope not...well talk to me sometime. Good to be back, at least for a while. -KX5 |

Holy crap! It's the return of KX5 and what better timing since our other favorite little brother we wished we (didn't) have, Curious Joel, is on vacation. I actually believe it is the real KX5 since you are posting from the right geographic area per your IP address. Welcome back and I hope you can stick around. (Shhhh! Don't tell daddy you're cavorting with those twisted X5 people again.)

its been 30 minutes and I've only gotten 1 response (however it was from the coolest person here, so its cool) but still - that Joel would get on my nerves. I'm still sticking with my idea that 80% of what he says is BS. Good, smart, sensible kid - but like I used to be, lying about nearly everything.

KX5?! Glad to read that Reform School could not hold you!
40 & 50 year olds? Welllll, maybe a few of us, but I always suspected most here were still 20/30 sumpins. Congrats on getting to your senior year and obtaining your driver's license...disagree w/you on the UK, esp. Scotland. Only HI for the summer trip?, lol! Really, good to read you again young man; most of us had an occasional thought about some horrible demise or that you had gone over to Explorer/Tahoe/Durango heaven. :p BR, md

So I see you moved out of the best area in the world to the hottest, eh G? Unfortunately you're missing all of these 5.0 earthquakers. They're exciting - the 4.9 from yesterday was centered in Yucaipa which isn't too far away form us - its in Riverside Cunty outskirts I think, so we felt it pretty good. Killed the power to the house/street for a few mins but then came back on. I would imagine that all these big ones are either just a great coincidence or foreshadowing a big Northridge or Landers again, neither of which I remember because I was like 2 years old. I'm pretty confident that nothing will happen though, ntohign too destructive at least since most bulidings are now quake proofed. However, it is at times liek this that I wish we lived in a brand new house which also was quake proofed.
I actually dont have many crazy questions that come to mind right now. I have lots of summer homework for 5 (count em and cry) AP classes next yr - Calculus BC, Gov/Econ, Psychology, Lit, Physics B. Have to read liek 5 books and takes notes for lit and outlines chapters and write an essay for Psych then some crap for gov/econ. Next year in May when it comes time to take the AP tests for all these classes, they cost 82 dollars/test. Lit and gov econ have 2 tests each meaning it will cost me $574 bucks to fail them. Ouch, but good times. Hope to go to a UC (UCLA in my dreams, but maybe SB if I'm lucky). So many smart kids these days that I'm just average - something that isn't too reliable nowadays. I'm sure you can still ding me for my spelling errors...that's something that hasn't changed since Rfly. |

MD - about the UK thing....
I HATED London mostly I guess. We took a direct flight from LAX to heathrow, which was a miserable 10 hrs+ in economy and I got sick on board, as in a cold. Someone with SARS no doubt....but anyways so we got to London and went to the hotel and they had booked us in some miserbale room that was hardly bigger than my bedroom (which isn't sayign much). Then as the time progressed in London, parents both got stomach flu type things, I got sicker, we all went to see Stonehenge feeling miserable, and I decided it was a bad trip. We went to the Lake District for a coupel days after that and that was relaxing but still not much fun or excitement, adn still feelign crappy. Then we went to Scotland, and I agree with you Scotland was better. We stayed in Edinbourgh. We had a great view of the castle right outside of our windows. I guess I can say I did enjoy Scotland - it was large enough and city-like enough that we could find places to go and eat/etc, but not nearly as city like as London, which gave it a relaxing feel. Oh yeah and we crushed 2 tires on the rental car on the way to the Lake District and got kicked out of a supermarket in the Lake District. Takes all kinds.... |
