Movies and Me

Ok, is it just me or do my movie critiques NEVER match up with what the critics have to say? Like, when I think a movie is great, I go home and find out the critics dissed it into the ground. And vice versa.

Take 'Zodiac' for example. It was supposedly THE movie to see and the latest hit in Moviedom this week. I even cheated and looked at the reviews beforehand and saw it did pretty well. Uh sorry, but after the first hour I got pretty bored. It was the same bureaucratic red tape regurgitated about 20 times. The movie was far too long considering how dull the plot got, and I couldn't wait for it to end. There were even points where it could have ended and there could have been a resolution, and it would have been decent. But no, it has to drag out more, and more, and more. Just rubbish

Nope it's not you. Critics are human to and most of the time don't have a clue. Some movie critics thought Norbit was worth a laugh but i walked out in 10 minutes. To me movies are entertainment and hardly anyone can tell someone else what counts for entertainment.

I remember Norbit........that came out the same week as Hannibal Rising right? I don't really care for humor movies anymore because the jokes end up being stupid and the movie is inevitably crude and not well-thought out at all.

I actually liked Hannibal Rising quite a bit (although the ending was an afterthought) and enjoyed it. Looks like I was alone for that one.

I saw Reno 911: Miami last night. Besides being funny about 1/15th of the time, it was incredibly stupid.

about Zodiac. Average at best. Saw it tonight and it's probably going to be the last movie I see in the theater. $40 for 2 tix, popcorn, drinks and one of those tiny Uno pizzas!

Matinee (discounted) prices are tickets for showtimes that start before 4 or 6pm depending on what day of the week. Senior discounts are a seperate thing.

I agree, I rarely ever agree with a movie critic.

Side note, can't wait to see 300 on Friday
