An E350 is not a good winter vehicle. It doesn't stop unless it is unladen, and it doesn't go unless it is loaded with some weight in the back.

Have you considered a Budget or Hertz rental? A Volvo XC70 rental makes a great ski car for the weekend.

wouldn't it be ridiculously expensive to rent such a vehicle for a few days??

and haha sounds like the E350 can therefore EITHER stop OR go depending on whether it's loaded or not -- but a huge thank you for the heads up on that, i had no idea........

rent an SUV. If it does snow, any of those vehicles will have a hard time.

with some real snows the e350 may get it done but on all seasons it could be really dicey

I'm looking at your list of cars to choose from and your comment above about cost and I'm not getting it. Especially considering what you stand to loose should you find yourself in desperate need of traction on a mountain road with one of your vehicles.
