I remember using a really, really old Mac back in kindergarten. For home computers, my dad always had a local company build him custom ones. We had two or three of those. In 2001 or 2002, we got a Dell Dimension 8200, which was a mistake, and we still have it. In 2003 I got a Dell Inspiron laptop, which broke after six months or so. After that, I had a Toshiba laptop. That was honestly the worst computer I ever used. I had it for 8 months and it went through six hard drives. I lost all my music, I lost all my old pictures (Including every picture I ever had of the X5).. In November 2005, I got an Apple iBook G4, which I still have and it works great. I'm probably going to get a MacBook Pro in the next few months, once the new version of OS X comes out.

Oh yes Sim City and all those Tycoon games! I had one mean Dinosaur Tycoon park from what I can remember. I also remember being back in fith grade and getting so excited that we might actually get a CDROM. Man I was a little nerd...guess not much has changed...

I had one like that. The battery lasted about 45 mins. It started to melt and bestbuy bought it back from me 6 months later.

Those games were the best..
Oregon Trail, SimCity/SimIsle/Etc, Rollercoaster Tycoon, Transport Tycoon, Dino Park Tycoon.. CARMEN SANDIEGO! I wish I still had some of those.

Mine wasn't blue... It was gray, if memory serves. I think it was a Satellite A55 or something like that. But yes, the battery was terrible.

I can't remember the first one - but I know the second was a TRaSh-80. I owned a couple of Atari's - 400 and and 800XL. And yes, the 400 had the cassette drive. What a POS that drive was. Kids these days have no idea how lucky they are. Hard drives (accessable to kids) didn't exist back then.
