Don't take this thread off topic please. You can start your own tread to debate other countries systems of government.

My prediction:

Gas prices go to 4.xx gallon, Congress goes on about how they could offer relief by dealing with Cuba...then bills pass allowing US oil companies to deal with Cuba. And please tell my why a Congressman from the mid-west gives two cents about drilling for oil in Cuba? Hmm, wonder what back door deal is going on there.

This U.S. Embargo on Cuba is just about one of the longest-lasting stupidities I've seen any Government commit in XXth century history.

Enforcing this embargo these days is even Stupider...

.. Making an exception just for Oil Companies to profit, is simply the epitome of Self-centered Hypocrisy.
