I don't doubt for one second that the confessions were coerced. I said that before in another thread. That is why you can't trust confessions as evidence of a crime. A confession can be used as supporting evidence, but when the confession is the only evidence, then you have nothing worth trusting.

I love how people like to selectively use the UN as justification when it fits their cause or viewpoint. But when it doesn't, then they post a comment like "who cares about the UN. they are useless".

Are you saying that you respect UN resolutions and treaties and think they should all be followed? (this is a yes or no question BTW)

YES and before you go on a Wiki rampage.....account for the current topic, Iran. Not past performance issues, but right now..today. So please don't dig up the 40 past years of anti-west attitude applied to the UN. I'm well aware of the viewpoint you're going to take.

People say "who cares about the UN" when they sit on their collective @ss and hope the worlds problems will go away. And while we wonder off topic, I'd like to again thank the EU and other ME countries for doing D_CK to get the hostages released...once again proving that the world is more then happy having the west run it.

Do I agree it is 100% hypocritical for the US to say "Iran broke the Geneva Convention rules".....YES. Do I think that the UN should sanction the US, NO...why? Because the world economy would DIE. It isn't black and white, cut and dry. There are very few economies that directly drive the world, and like it or not....the US is one of them.

Sad but true the Brits caved like a house of cards in a wind storm. Say what you want about John McCain, but he was tortured in the Hanoi Hilton strung from the rafters by his arms tied behind his back and did not betray the United States.

Just goes to show what kind of trouble we are really in when we allow ourselves to fall into the "PC" mindset while our enemies are willing to strap bombs on themselves to take out a few bystanders.

More people like Eric and we will all be growing beards and facing Mecca in a decade or two.
