Leave the battery out and try to connect to the AC power directly... Anything??

does she have any peripherals plugged in? sometimes some input devices will not allow windows to boot

Since it is exactly 8 days out of warranty, they are going to call Toshiba Support to see if they can do anything.

Sorry Michelle, they went through everything I would have suggested. I have 3 Toshiba laptops and they have all been fine other than replacing the batteries once in a while. Good luck.

on the motherboard thing. Had a similar issue with an Alienware Sentia about a year ago, and it was the motherboard. GL!

a friend of mine, his dell just did the same thing. i tried replacing memory,
hard drives, u name it. in the end, i chalked it up to the motherboard.

let us know what toshiba says. btw, what model toshiba?
