My VetteVert has HeadsUp, (a steal from when theOl'General owned Hughes), and it is titz...once you have it, it's hard to live w/out it.

The Vette's can be selected to show many diff gauge readouts and show at least 2 or 3 items, all the time. It can also be dimmed or brightened and adjusted up or down in the field of view on the windshield.

I think BMW's version is sim., though not sure of their data selections.

Will it ever come in a fully manual version though? I have heard rumores that the manual tranny will come over in 2008.

I've read that it will, because many US customers were griping about the lack of a manual.

But it will be limited to 6 speed due to unusual shift pattern setup with any more.

I also think the next M5 will be a V12 or a Supercharged V8.

The speedo doesn't come up from memory, it is the tachometer and gear selected only......

may be wrong but was going to fast to remember anything other than those...... ha ha

My thoughts on this awesome car I have already said here http://www.xoutpost.com/showthread.php?t=2901

EDIT just looked closer at attached pics..... guess I was looking at required items only

What do you mean next one? We just got a new M5. Are they even delivering them yet? Would they change the engine mid-generation?

Sorry for the misunderstanding.. Meant the next generation in 4-5 years.

BMW only made the V10 due to Forumla One using similar configuration. With new rules coming, V10 is on the way out eventually. Its just not as natural as a V8 or better yet the V12.
