Depends on weather your in a hurry or not. If the OS is gonna be included with your new machine why not wait. That way all that upgrade stuff wont be an issue.

Say you check part of a particular website pretty often. Why not turn it into a widget? In Safari, click the Web Clip icon and select the part of the page you want to turn into a widget. Click Add and Safari launches your brand-new widget in Dashboard. From there you can customize it with a selection of themes. Your new web clip widget is always live, acting just like the website it was clipped from." I'm definitely looking forward to upgrading to Leopard BTW, when at my Apple Store this past Sunday afternoon, they had the new MacBook Pro there that has the brand new backlit LCD screen. The resolution was AMAZING!! UPDATE: I just downloaded Safari Beta 3.0 for my PC, and I can already tell you that page loads are faster than Firefox. I’ve always liked Safari over other browsers, in my Mac anyway. I also downloaded it to my “Windows XP” OS (thru parallels) yesterday and it is indeed faster than the Internet Explorer and Firefox browsers. However, there are still very few websites out there (including our Maui MLS and local government sites) that will not allow you full access unless you are using Internet Explorer.
What impresses me the most though is how Steve Jobs timed the Safari offer. According to some analysts, which you probably read already, the Windows’ Safari is strategically pointing to the iPhone almost subliminally. Windows users who will start using Safari will likely like it and make it their default internet browser and will use it more than Internet Explorer. Sometime later they will notice that this is the same browser used by the iPhone. Brilliant. Being a Mac user already, do you think you can wait till October to get your “super” Mac Pro? As you know, updating to the new Leopard is most likely just an hour uncomplicated exercise. Go get em and enjoy that beast!

Here is my speculation why Safari was released for the PC. First of all, the iPhone will need 3rd party apps to suceed. That is the beauty of Treo phones with Palm OS due to all the apps available for it.
Steve Jobs is probably toying with making webb based apps for the iPhone. By releasing Safari for the Win PC, there will be more developers for 3rd party apps for the iPhone. Anyhow, that is my hypothesis.
