Thumbs down Audi A4

What's up guys and ladies of course. I just had to post my thoughts on the 07 AUDI A4 2.0T I've been driving for the past 5 days while on vacation in San Diego. I hope my comments don't offend anyone, but this car is a POS. I thought I would have to push it up some of the hills. The CEO was wondering if my driving skills were slippin'. I have driven Jetta's and Passat's that handle much better than this. This thing is so under powered and loose. Maybe being a rental had something to do with it....but I doubt it. I felt like it was running on 2 or 3 cylinders. Maybe the 7 speed automatic tranny hadn't been broken in yet. The interior felt really cheap and not well appointed at all. AUDI really missed the mark on this one. From what I can tell, San Diego must be AUDI territory....I saw a lot of Q7's and A4's. I haven't seen that many Q7's in Houston since the launch of the vehicle. There were also people commenting on how nice of a car I was driving. Anyway, I don't want to make this a long read, but this info might help someone thinking about purchasing this vehicle. Remember, this is just my opinion.........Phil

I agree my friend just had that car totaled and I am trying to convince her of something else.

By stepsister has the 04 a4 3.0 and I dont even like that thing. I feel like I am driving a go cart/golf cart combo.

Audi A4

I have owned a 2007 A4 2.0 for about 6 mos. after trading in my old 2002 A4 1.8T i am VERY disapointed in this car. I loved my 2002 it just flew and handled great. Now I am stuck with this one that is not fun to drive. And what really sucks is that it is a automatic. I let the ceo talk me into it.... Now what do I do...

Their transmission is a 6-speed automatic I believe
The interior is quite boring, but it is an all around very safe (safer then the 3) car
I find them boring but have several friends who own them, their due for a replacement for 2008 anyways
I would say if you compared it to the E46 3 series it wouldn't seem so bad, the 2.0T does need a power upgrade, I have a loaner 325ci and its a dog with a bland interior, the new 3 really out-classed the old 3's interior and equipment

Your Incorrect
If it was a front wheel drive
Gearbox Audi Multitronic; Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) - only in FrontTrak (per audi's website)
or the Quattro has a 6-speed automatic with sport shift

Only the C Class is 7-speed

Well somebody is smokin'....it was definitely a 7 speed. I checked and double checked because I couldn't believe my eyes. At any rate, it could've been a 10 speed and it still drove like sh**.................Phil
