happened to my car. The AAA guy pried the top of the door open in my garage before the pitiful alarm went off.

It was 2AM, it was a volvo and my spare was at my condo 30 miles from canada. I did give the "WTF are you doing?" shpeil, but I didn't care. it was what they (Volvo) sent
You'd think with these damn electronic keys there couldn't be some other way besides scratching the sh!t outta my interior.

Sorry to hear that. Carrying a spare key was the whole point i was making and i hope others will take the hint.

Couldn't you have called BMW Assist to remotely unlock the doors? I don't think my 335i will lock with the key inside. I have comfort access though. If the key is in the trunk and you close the lid, it won't shut!
