I wish we had that in DC. Stuck with slow comcast for now.

Also how accurate is this site? I just tried and and apparently we are at 472kbps. I dont really believe this as it takes forever just to open an email.

You live in a big building like me, is your wifi protected? I finally had to password protect mine because everyone was using it and slow it down, now it's much faster!

Yes its protected. I think the wireless router they gave us just sucks. (It was actually better in VA)

However the speed test I just did at work. This network is 4+ years old and in dire need of some attention. 10 mins to open a 7MB email...not fun.

Here in NY they even offer a 50 download/10 upload package, but it costs $100/month.

Yo MiCkEy:

I never said I didn't "look"...

TheCEO knows if I'm not looking, it's time for
the dirt nap. I just won't pay to look, as there
are years worth of free stuff.

I know that connection I have is "decent" speed-wise,
coming from town 4 miles down and 2200 vertical feet
below us, but it's hell to pay with a new ISP provider
I have with diff antenna, system, etc. Lots of glitches
these past few weeks living through the change over.

But, no choice: my current/new system or dial up or
a Verizon air card, which here is like double dial up...
cable or DSL will not get here to the top of our mtn
in my lifetime. Now, in our winter FL house, ComCrap
does a pretty good job. But, here we are freakin stuck.

Interesting site there, MiCk...thanks.
BR,
Ol'UncleMotor
