my take on the iPhone..

I have to admit, I was expecting it to be a bit of a disappointment.. instead, I'm floored. My expectations are exceeded. It's snappy, easy to use, loud, clear, intuitive, integrates incredibly well with my Mac, and looks like a million!

Best of all, it's 100% compatible with my new BMW X5 with ipod/bluetooth..

I can't wait for that to be delivered so I can mate the two!

Don't go out and get an iPhone.. Run out!

I got two, one for me and one for my non-techie wife, and she's unable to get her hands off of hers!

Just a quick question, have you tried any other of the million smart phones available?

Still readily available: http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPL.../iphone/iphone

(again, not knocking the iPhone....just think there is a little too much hype for something that basically copies a standard smart phone, maybe I'm wrong...it's happened before.)

1010Wins here in ny just had a story about how there are about 400 iphones on ebay already, and 99% of them have absolutely no bids.

why? because AT&T and Apple didn't even come close to selling out at any of their stores, so you can happily stroll into a store today and pick one up for yourself if you want one.... (so much for all of the knuckleheads who waited outside a store for a week to get one... Here's to YOU dude! you beat everyone else to the punch by 18 hours! WHOOHOOOOO! You ROCK!

pffffft.... people are strange.

carry on.

Did you go to the Apple phone store at the Biltmore or Chandler Fashion Center? I heard there were ~200 people at CFC. How do you know if it's compatible with your X5 if you don't have it yet?

I agree to the poster above
I was not expecting much but the phone and the funtionality is amazing.
Outlook contacts, calendering and IMAP worked out of the box as the phone picked up the configs from outlook.

I am a treo and htc user and this trounced anything I have used. As I expected just another toy, the phone has awed me

Sent via the phone

I didn't bother with the Apple store... I drove out of the way to Surprise to the AT&T store there, and the line had 15 people in it at 4:30PM.. I waited hardly 2 hours to get to the front of the line. It would have been wait an all day wait however.. Can't wait to try it with the X5 when that gets here!

The above is a post that is a prime example of why I can't live in NYC.. Great city in many respects, but the people are a bit abrasive for me.

Carry on.

There are so many people activating them right now it is taking forever. I started the process at 8 PM last night and mine still hasn't activated. Called AT&T...on hold for an hour, and their advice was just to wait and that because of how many people are activating right now the process is extremely slow.
