 Sad for the woman's children but come on, how stupid could someone be???

That's about 15 minutes from my house, and 5 minutes from my office. Very sad for her children and family, indeed.

Wow. People like this are the reason I can't buy anything other than a sparkler in my county.

When I was younger, we used to vacation alot in Mexico (where fireworks are legal) and I remeber we bought those sparklers (you throw them on the ground and they "pop" and spark) and my brother picked the un-popped ones the next day from around the yard of our beach house and they exploded in his hands due to the heat of the day, we had to rush him across the border, never touched them since

Sad indeed, I feel really sorry for her kids, she probably should have thought about them before attempting something so stupid.

Pretty sure the directions didn't read:
1) light fuse 2) stand over top of mortar 3) hover 4) keep hovering. As was said, sad for the kids but mom was obviously a moron. Did she deserve flares to the face, no but I really hope they don't try more BS bashing on fireworks. BTW: Love how here in MD we aren't allowed to have fireworks that shoot into the air, however at two OFFICIAL events on the 4th, people were injured. In once case mortars went off on the ground and in the other it fired into 1000 people watching.
