Anyone have a favorite bluetooth headset? I think it's time for me to get one...

I have the Motorola HB850. Takes some getting use to though. Got it a couple of years back. I don't know if they still make them. It works with iPhone too.

Whatever you do, don't buy one from eBay! There are some decent sellers there but there are way too many selling fakes. Yes, fake BT headsets. All brands and models are represented and often times you can't tell the difference unless you compare with the real deal but obviously performance and quality are very poor.

For something pretty quick and easy, Costco has the Jabra JX10 for $65. It's not on their site but should be in the B&M. For the best in noise cancellation and reduced background noise, the Jawbone is very good but it's a little big. You can get it at eCost.com for $79.

Barring eBay as a possible purchasing site is a bit extreme. Maybe we should say use extreme caution and obtain as much information as possible before making the purchase.

I don't have a BT headset; I just can't get excited about a single earpiece. However I did see a Motorola display stand at Fry's last weekend for a BT stereo headset and a microphone, allowing dual use for phone conversations and audio playback. Unfortunately, Fry's had no working models, only pictures. But it did perk my interest especially now that I have a brand new empty 4GB mini-SD card sitting inside my Treo.

I've never ever bought anything via Ebay so it's not a concern, but thanks for the warnings.

Gresch,

I have had many BT headsets.. I use them often. (No I don't wear one as a fashion accessory or in the grocery store...)
But always in my car or at my desk.

Having been through a number of these devices, I have found the best one to be the Motorola's.
I have the H700 and am EXTREMELY fond of it.

It's not too big (doesn't look like a head attachment..) has good battery life, good quality sound, etc.

I believe there are a couple different model numbers for this headset. Depending on what phone you have, you probably want to get a headset that can fit the same car charger and home charger as your cell, so you don't need to buy more equipment.
If you have a RAZR or such, the H700 is the right model.. Otherwise, go to Bestbuy and find this style, motorola, with the corresponding adapter for your current cell phone charger.

I have three different headsets a first generation motorola (the one that matched the V710) the D&G gold Motorola and a Parrot Driver Headset.

Since I no longer wear a headset unless in a car that does not have handsfree I rarely use the motorola units anymore...I like the parrot piece because it is small, light, has good noise cancelling but most importantly it comes with a cigarette lighter charging cradle so you never have to worry about leaving your headset in the house on the charger...
