My concern about getting a case like that is that it will be difficult to carry in my pants pocket. If it is no longer slippery, then it may be a pain to slip into and out of my pocket, and it also may become thicker with the case.

Part of what I love about this phone compared to my Treo is that I have eliminated the need for the belt-holster on my hip.
It does become a little thicker, but the skin is really snug. As for the other thing... I guess it depends on how tight you wear your pants.
I just wanted something to protect the phone from scratches or if I drop it. After quite a bit of research (I tried a few) this is the best product I could find. I would stay away from black as it is quite the magnet for dust and lint. (I have it)
The film is outstanding and a must.

the phone is sooo sick that u can have 1000songs on it, and cant use any of them as ringtons.. truly an apple tryin to take ur money product...and their ringtones SUCK real quiet and boring, the loudest one is a "dog barking" lol

As far as the actual phone, its cool, of course a real user friendly as apple likes to be; there are like tricks to the touch screen that if u read the lil pamphlet they give u its useful..

Like most people have said; id wait for another generation of them, i simply got one becuase my dad purchased one for himself, my mom and me.. so i wasnt bout to say no

By the way, I received a call while listening to music and the call came through on the headset and and wow that really blew me away. The sound quality was so perfect and it sounded like the caller was talking inside my brain!

Unfortunately the headset does not work when you make a call. It only receives incoming calls or am I missing something?

EDIT: Correction, I did a reset and now I could use the headset to make calls too. I think I prefer this over my Plantronics BT Headset

I have noticed that Safari on the Iphone tends to crash a bit.
Maybe the sites I'm trying to load are too bulky.. But I would say an upgrade is needed. It's definately not reliable..

I've noticed this as well. However, what I do like is that when it crashed, it doesn't crash the whole phone like Windows Mobile or Blackberrys. Instead, it just boots you out to the home screen. And if you open Safari back up, it goes right back to the site you were on and tries to load it again, and is almost always successful on the next try. I'd say that is pretty good programming.

Ok truth be told there is nothing on the iPhone that I couldn't do with my K800i. With that being said, the UI experience on the iPhone is so much better then that on the K800i.

You shpuld also consider that my 3G K800 was absolutely useless here on the united states, so ironically edge was an upgrade for me...

The only thing that I do miss is the three megapixel camera of the k800i...

I'll give you MMS and Java. (Both surely will be fixed with the next software upgrade before the end of the year.) Games? I've yet to meet any significant number of people who actually play games on their phone.

Not worried about the battery. When it dies, three years from now, I'll ship it to Apple, and I'll get it back in three days. Raise your hands... how many people here actually keep a cell phone for three years? My record is two years, and that is BY FAR the longest I've kept any cell phone.

The phone does have some shortcomings; that being said, it does EVERYTHING Apple advertised, and it does it all very well!

Juan
