chances with what? That you'll have a blowout at 90mph and crash? That you'll get arrested? That you'll die? If you aren't knowledgeable about suvs or their driving characteristics, then you shouldn't be an idiot and risk your life for this. You shouldn't do this ever.
BTW, "top of the line X5" means nothing. Year, engine? Sorry for being tough on you, but it's better than you ending up in the ER or in jail. If you really want to know, look up 0-60 times on google. (I am assuming that you are talking about street racing. Please, correct me if I am wrong, though, and I will gladly retract my comments.)

2007 4.8i
The reason i'm not knowledgable with the Suv or any Suv is because this is my first suv that i've ever owned. I previously owned an s500 mercedes but family is growing and I was told that BMW had great suv's. I now agree...If it's quick money why not? Oh and it's all done at the track. |

since you're so daring...dare to show some pics of your ride?
imo...you'll gain nothing... win against 5.7 hemi...lose against srt8...so why try at all? +200 + -200 = 0

OK.....story changed. Glad you aren't street racing. I witnessed an Audi S4 swerving in and out of lanes racing a Nissan 350z on the highway today. He almost lost it.
Congrats on the new 4.8i. You were told correctly, BMW has great SUVs. If it's a base Grand Cherokee with a hemi, you are more powerful and have better handling. I assume you are a decent driver, so it shouldn't be too hard. A Grand Cherokee SRT-8 is a different story though. It may not handle as well, but it will completely whoop you in the straights. If they are a good driver, you probably don't have a chance. Congrats on the new bimmer and BE Safe!!! Make yourself familiar with the limits of your new X5 before you try anything.

Given this statement: Track or not you may want to think this over before trying it. I believe there's a school that will teach you the ins and outs of driving your X. Then you may be better equiptd. to do your thing. Get knowledgable about you SAV then you wont get embarrased and lose your money.

are we talking a quarter mile here be the best bet that way no chance of anything going wrong I'd say and if all the motors are auto's then your not really pitching against each others driving skills now are you so you need to go round some corners but then once you start doing that it's more about the driver than the motor are you a track man. |
