Well - for one there is the BMW HQ Very unique building - well worth it, even if you just drive by it, in my opinion
Also Munich is home to some truly amazing bars - some are about 500 years old They serve some interesting beer at those places

BMW has factory tours in Munich and in Dingolfing (where the nicer models are made) and in Regensburg. Take your pick as to which one you want, but reserve in advance. Engilsh tours are limited if you're interested.
There's always the castles that dot the Bavarian countryside. A bit touristy, yes, but they seem to be pretty neat. There are forum members that have an X3 and live in Germany. Search on the X3 forum. |

The new Mercedes museum here is awesome, and the factory tour is fun, too. Tours are available in English if you plan ahead. Also, don't forget Stuttgart is Porsche country...there is a small museum, I'm not sure about factory tours.
We also have several good art museums downtown if you get tired of car stuff, and lots of vineyards if you like wine. I highly recommend Bavaria...some of the most beautiful scenery in Europe! |
