Is this just consumer sales? Do fleet sales count, ie rentals? If so that would explain the cobalt.

Also this says Ford F-series. So that includes the range of 150's 350's...

I have a suspicion that it does include fleet sales and without the rental car and corporate fleets, the Big 3 would have gone under a long time ago.

Let's see...
Ford owns Hertz, and GM owns Avis, right? (I'm sure I'm leaving out the smaller companies)

Really? I didnt know this. I mean I guess it makes sense when you look at the vehicle line-ups.

Does that mean BMW has a stake in Enterprise since those seem to be the only crappy cars they loan out at the stealer?

Heh! I wouldn't be surprised!

Actually, at my local dealer, they usually give you a BMW, but their policy is that they have to "know" they'll have the car for over 4 hours before they'll give you a loaner.

Because Ford's quality sucks Nothing shocking about that. Toyota is way ahead of the competition.

+1 on rentals, also government and cheapass corporate fleets.

Dont forget,
Fix
Or
Replace
Daily

For every one BMW we go through, three of those die.

Ford has turned their quality & reliability completely around in the last 4 years. I bet you your old volvo that the Fusion has better reliabilty than the 2002 745Li

I'll give you that even my 2004 Touareg was better than the early E65's. However, my 2006 Volvo Focus begs to differ 1000000% that they have turned anything around.
