Thanks for the link. I do like it quite a bit better than the bread van that the old one is. I wonder why they didn't have an X5 there for comparo. Maybe because our beloved E53's are getting long in the tooth?

"The new Direct Select column-mounted electronic shifter is not only more convenient than a floor shifter but frees up the center console."

Whatever that means. Plagerized from the MBUSA ML preview site.

Good stuff!

Mercedes-Benz Thornhill in Toronto has 2 new MLs on the lot already. It's strange though that the corporate Mercedes office in Toronto does NOT have them yet.

I kind of like the look on these new cars. The rear has improved, by now they have f*cked up the tail-lights. Also, this new ML seems to have certain "edgy" elements, ala Cadillac.

Should be an interesting test drive next month.

I was thinking the exact same thing. One thing that accentuates that is the semi-eggcrate grille on the ML500 as well as the headlights.

Not bad looking....better than outgoing model but that's not saying much. I'll take either current or next gen. X5 anytime.

Thx for the pix, RF.

I like it, especially in black. My best friend has a current-gen ML... But I'll be replacing the 330 with an X5 4.4i, thank you very much.

What do you think of that wrap around rear glass look? They're really hiding the D pillar, making it look like a one-piece wrap around. Some US SUV is coming out with a true one-piece wrap around glass for '07, can't remember which one.
