Top Gear is the ideal blend of comedy, wit, and car stuff. I was reading his review on the hideous Porsche Cayenne on Times Online and cracked up when he called the X5 the "most monumentally stupid car to ever turn a wheel".

They're back and it's business as usual with Jeremy testing Sweden's entry in the supercar market, the Koenigsegg CCX and Stig doing his best to kill himself in it. James drives the new Honda Civic and Richard is relegated to driving a most embarrassing convertible: the Nissan micra C+C - a pink Nissan micra C+C.

The Renault Espace is turned into the world's first convertible people carrier by having its roof sawn off, a car wash catches fire and Top Gear Dog makes a début appearance.

Finally, the new Reasonably Priced Car - a Chevrolet Lacetti gets its baptism of fire in a ménage à sept .

The Jaguar XK is driven by Jeremy through the spectacular scenery of the Yorkshire Dales. He didn’t like the fact that the car was made to a budget and felt ‘cheaply made’. He compared it to the BMW 650i and the Mercedes SL350. Despite his view that the German cars were better made, he still preferred the ‘less sophisticated’ Jaguar. He also drove the new Corvette Z06.

Richard was in Iceland for a race against a jet-powered kayak - he drove the Tomcat 4x4.

In Brighton, Jeremy, James and Richard took over a live drivetime radio programme on BBC Southern Counties Radio and were rubbish at it. They managed to annoy the listeners and the sports reporter (well done).

The Porsche Cayenne Turbo S is tested in Cyprus against of all things, a Red Devil: a member of the R.A.F.'s freefall parachute display team. With the help of an interior designer, Jeremy gives the Mercedes S Class a make-over with a rather unusual 'retro-look'. The new S Class is tested, the BMW Z4M shows what it can do on the Top Gear track as does the Koenigsegg CCX - this time with a new 'Top Gear' rear wing designed not to kill the Stig.

The word 'turbo' tells you that these aren't necessarily the cheapest, slowest family cars you can buy. The fast exotic car this week is the rather handsome Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder.

James races two parkour enthusiasts from the city centre of Liverpool to the Liver Building in the "rubbish" new Peugeot 207.

The lads take on the Stig in a race this week: he/it has to drive a Caterham 7 from the factory in London, to Knockhill Racing Circuit in Scotland; the lads are already at the circuit but they have to build their car first.

Richard gets to drive the new Noble M15; the Rolls Royce 101 EX concept car is in the studio and Ray Winstone is the Cockney in a Reasonably Priced Car. Jenson Button also tries his luck around the track in the Liana. Will he manage to complete the lap? Should do as the Liana is undoubtedly more reliable than the Lucky Strike Honda.
