Land Yacht Pics
Check the photos, power running boards that fold into the car, power tail gate, rear dvd, 3 rows of seats (with the latter folded into the floor), nav, 20" chrome wheels with...275/55 tires, towing pkg, all the other stuff they shove into these things.. -----------------------------

I am actually looking at the new Explorers/Expeditions.
They are sweet with 0% financing. How does it compare to the X5 in terms of quality? |

IMO, the X5 of course is much more luxurious inside meaning finer leathers and nicer wood, however the Exp comes LOADED for 48K. The ride is nicer but the handling of course is like a truck, not a car as the X5 is. Nice part of the Exp is all the little bells and whistles you'd pay for in a Bimmer are included and somethings you can't get:
Quick specs: - Remote Start - AC seats - Much nicer NAV system IMO - Power running boards - Power tail gate - Real third row (and as you can see a TON of space) - No pano roof, but sunroof - Roof rails with crossbars - No HID lights - No Bluetooth (but you can get an accessory added that covers this) - Drop down 8" screen instead of a pop-up off a console - Dual zones just like the Bimmer - Heated/Folding mirrors, same as the Bimmer - 13-14mpg (but uses 87 octane) - 9,000 or 8,500 lb towing capacity - Cargo shelf which holds 30lbs that you can use in the tailgate(I have a pic of it up there) - HUGE amounts of room inside, much larger then the X5 (ask Michelle) M's exact quote: "It looks like yours just crapped it out" when comparing the X5 side-by-side with the Expedition. Of course, the X5 has better handling and finer leather/wood but IMO if you really want utility, you can't go wrong. Just go take one for a ride. Plus the ground clearance is almost 9" so you can really go over things. Specs: http://www.fordvehicles.com/suvs/exp...eatures/specs/ http://www.bmwusa.com/vehicles/X5/48i/techdata.htm

Congrats on the new purchase, Ryan! So the 3rd row seat is officially Michelle certified?
If I were to ever buy a Ford which is probably never (no knock on Fords, just love German cars too much), I'd get the personalized license plate "MoFoCo" which is a play on words FoMoCo and MoFo. I'd be honored if you used it. |

I'm calling you if I ever have to move some bodies, not that I would ever do that.

Great truck, looks really nice. I had two Expeditions (a '97, the first year, in northern Canada, and a '98 in South America). Both were excellent vehicles. Handling was OK, utility and comfort were very good, and they never broke. On snow they were very stable. I was driving up to the mines on back roads, and the '98 did run out of power at 16,000 feet, but then so did everything else.
I like the XL, makes more sense to me than the Excursion ever did. Congratulations.
