Cat 5 Dean w/160mph estimated winds coming their way...man..this is a tragedy in the works. I sure hope people are being pro-active and getting out or finding adequate shelter.

Ouch. Last I saw it was 125mph. Hope the islands do ok. Cancun, New Orleans... who knows who's next.

I'm terrified. My Mom's still in Jamaica, and so's my brother. They're getting prepared for the worst, but we're all hoping things don't go as horribly as they're predicted to.

Thanks for the well wishes. My mom replaced the roof on the house earlier this summer, and the new roof has hurricane straps, etc. The house is well built, and withstood Gilbert in '88, so we're all hoping and praying for the best. My bro's crib is only 2 years old and has been built up to the new standards and codes, etc., so I think he'll be OK, too. People there are taking it seriously, and my mom said that grocery stores were emptied of almost all canned goods, and tempers were short at gas stations. If it's a direct hit, as predicted, despite all the preparation, the loss of life, etc. could be devastating. I'll keep you guys and gals posted.
