Radar Detector of Choice?

In my first BMW I had the Valentine V1 and loved it, but it now needs to be updated to accomodate POP. Since its 7 years old Im not just going to get it updated, I am thinking about buying a new radar detector. Ive read reviews and so forth, but which radar detector does everyone use here? I know 7 years ago when I was shopping for a radar detector the V1 was the favorite of BMW owners, is this still the case?

if you want the best one, there is no doubt that the Passport SRX is the one to get... but it also cost $1500. it's laser jamming really works and it's hidden.

I've used Passport for years and always been happy. Just bought my first Bel, its the Sti Driver and I am very impressed.

Passport SR7 w/ Shifter / SRX is handsdown the best system. They're not even close to $1500 though. Ekaz relatively recently got his SRX for ~$700-800.

Can I get a source to the $700-800 SRX, I would be interested in checking that out since it has laser jamming included.
