That Smoking Gun affidavit is a real hoot. After one of the "incidents," she cleans herself up at an Eckerd's, then drives the kids to a mall to buy her husband an "eye-pod" at a Radio Shack. At least she didn't have him whacked, à la Pam Smart (who was also kinda' hot, btw).

The prosecutors want too much time, so we're going with the insanity defense. That's a novel approach. How's that working out for 'ya, counselor? I must have been absent that day. The defense's hired gun says Deb is "mentally ill," but that certainly doesn't mean that she was legally insane. I've also read elsewhere that she "has some issues." Take a number, Deb.

"She was turned on by the fact that having sexual relations with him was not allowed." So much for not knowing the difference between right and wrong. Kiss the insanity defense bye-bye, Deb.

"What teacher in her right mind would do something like this?" Maybe one that "is having sexual inadequacy problems with her husband." Or, (and I don't intend to come across as stodgy pompous azz prude) perhaps one that's an alleged sexual predator that gets off on having sex with a 14-year-old boy entrusted to her care, in public, and in front of that boy's 15-year-old chauffeur cousin.

Deb, how many times do I have to tell you: Don't talk on the phone.

From what I've read, the boy's mother got suspicious when she (and a neighbor) saw her son repeatedly getting picked up and shuttled around by Ms. LaFave. The mother later "overheard" her son talking on the telephone about putting the wood to a "hot teacher at school." The mother got angry, confronted the son, he gave it up, and she dropped the dime on him. His cousin also ratted him out. (Jealous little sh!t)
