NAACP = 100% useless

Much like the ACLU and other acronym bias organizations, the NAACP..for whatever reason it feels it has some role..is saying the NFL shouldn't ban Michael Vick (yeah..the FELON who bet on dog fighting)

The real question is, would they give 2 sh_ts if it was Peyton Manning, instead of Michael Vick?

http://www.cnn.com/2007/US/law/08/22/vick/index.html
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2986382

Just a few of their AMAZING quotes:

Quote:
White also said he didn't understand the uproar over dogfighting, when hunting deer and other animals is perfectly acceptable.
Quote:
"His crime is, it was a dog," White said.
Quote:
"We feel that whatever the courts demand as a punishment for what he has done, once he has paid his debt to society, then he should be treated like any other person in the NFL,"
Quote:
"The way he is being persecuted, he wouldn't have been persecuted that much had he killed somebody."
A few more amazing lines:

On Monday, New York Knicks guard Stephon Marbury was in Albany, N.Y., promoting his brand of affordable sneakers. He was asked about Michael Vick, and said, according to Newsday:

"We don't say anything about people shooting deers and shooting other animals, you know what I mean? From what I hear, dogfighting is a sport. It's just behind closed doors and I think it's tough that we build Michael Vick up and then we break him down ... I think he fell into a bad situation."

You know how to tell conclusively that this won't turn into a race thing?

Al Sharpton is nowhere to be found.

carry on.

The NAACP is now, and has been for many many years, a money making machine for its top tier leadership. Period.

It no longer has anything to do with improving race relations, or anything else noble. Period.

He fell into a bad situation, ummm more like he was the LEADER AND FINANCIAL BACKER of the whole situation he just so happened to "fall" into. Todays players are a disgrace to the players of old times, did you ever hear of Joe Montana or Warren Moon sneaking weed in an airport or killing harmless animals?? Nope, Did you hear the one about John Stockton and Larry Bird going into a Las Vegas strip club, "making it rain" and ensuing a riot where bullets were fired? Neither did I. Proffesional sports blow.... all of them, its all about the money

It's a sport??? So it's a sport to torture a friggin animal or kill it if it doesn't perform? Cut me a damn break. How does it differ from hunting a deer... ummm... 1 shot 1 kill jackass. To even compare it to that is assinine, and I'm completely against hunting and the nra. As far as I can tell, hunting advocates killing an animal the most humane way possible with the least amount of suffering.

And as far as "fighting as a sport" in general... 2 men can make the decision to step into a ring, or cage, or whatever it may be and pound the living piss out of each other and you can call it "sport". 2 dogs do not choose to be in a fight till the death. The key factor is choice.

God I f'ing hate people. Yeah, poor Michael Vick. He "fell" into this situation. Let me feel sorry for him and cry him a river cause he's a multimillion dollar athletic superstar idiot. REALLY!

And DinanM3, when are you gonna part out your 99 to me, huh?

As far as hunting deer or game...I personally believe you should eat what you kill. People who don't think hunting deer should be legal should take a close look at the steak, hamburger, pork chop or chicken on tonights plate and realize the only difference is someone else killed that meal. Cows are shot in the head and chickens have their neck broken.

If you don't like it you had better be a Vegan.

BTW...I've hunted when I was a kid but I could not do it now unless I needed to survive.
