so maybe they think the 6 up>7Series guy may
stroll into the PCar store to take a look. And, current
PCar owners that need to replace the leased co. car
and, that can handle the grand+ a month lease, may
have some allegiance to this new four door uber sedan.

Its supposed to be priced in 760's price range. I guess BMW will counter with 8-series /CS concept pics we saw earlier.

Why...because some out there would love a Porsche but need a sedan for a daily driver. So yes, they're going for the 7 market.

Why? Do you realize that the Cayman is by far Porsche's best selling car? They sell more Caymans than all the other models combined! That's why! There IS indeed a market there for high-end luxury sedans (and SUVs for that matter, though gas prices have put a dent on those sales).

They'll sell a ton of these!

You must be talking of the Cayenne (SUV) and not the Cayman (coupé)…

looks like a Pontiac Grand Prix with a little longer snout.

don't think that car's in the mix of 4-seater supercars I'm looking at.

Porsche Panamera Spied in Spain

Clearest photos yet

Finally one of our spy photographers was able to get up close and somewhat personal with the upcoming 4-dour coupe by Porsche, the Porsche Panamera. At last we can bring you with some new details about the much anticipated car.

The caught prototype is far less camouflaged than any of the earlier test cars and clearly shows the front air intakes (photo 4: close up shot of blue Panamera). From these new photos a computer generated image was created which might just be a close resemblance to the final product.
Details Panamera
  • Code name: G 1
  • Porsche’s first front engined, rear drive four door sedan
  • 4x4 as an option
  • Engine: 4,8 ltr 4 V p. cyl., V 8
  • 400 HP – Top of the line Panamera Turbo 520 HP
  • Top speed 180 mph
  • Release: 2010
  • Hybrid version planned for 2011.
  • Production begins 08/ 2009 in Porsche’s Leipzig plant
  • 20.000 units per year
  • 35% for the US market
  • Price: between Eur 80.000 and Eur 125.000
