Ebay item won(asanti wheels), but seller wants me to wire money?!?
But the seller wants me to wire the money to his bank... no paypal. This is the auction. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/22-BR...spagenameZWDVW Looks VERY shady to me. I dont like how the bidders ids were made private either... whats up with that. Should i pass??? New development, the mailing address provided in his email from ebay is bogus, i ran it by the us post office and they said there was no record of it... so i think im making the right choice by passing on this.

It said bank wire transfer only on the ad. Did you miss that before bidding? I hate ebay auctions without paypal, so I understand your concern. Good luck!

Krunk, you're better off risking the possibility of a feedback "hit" than sending him your money.
If that addy ain't right, I wouldn't do it. Too many questions, with too many possible bad answers. You may even have cause to contact EScam, and have them negate the auction alltogether.

I would have thought that a bank wire transfer was safe. I would check with your bank about whether it's safe or not.
The bit about the address not being a valid one does seem a little disconcerting though. I cannot think why, if someone has a bank account, they would not have a PayPal account to do business on eBay. That would be another cause for concern...

Having thought about it a little more, and hearing brian5's point, I'd check with your bank/financial institution on recourse should things go bad if you do decide to proceed.
