Bland, boring, ugly... Those are the only words that come to mind when looking at those pictures. Good going, Toyota! Way to ruin a good thing. I actually like the current LC design, and I would even consider buying one if it weren't so dated (how long has it been in production, unchanged? 10, 15 years?). I'm still curious to see what the new Sequoia looks like, although I don't get my hopes too high. We're outgrowing the X5 and need something bigger, and I had high hopes for the new Land Cruiser. Now, the only SUV I really like in that class is the Armada (or its cousin QX).

Have you considered a minivan?

Yes, I have. But they are too fast and furious for me, and perform too well off-road, so I want something a little less capable...

I think that most or all Toyota/Lexus models looks are not great.

That said I recently purchased a 2007 Rav 4 V6 and think its a great car.

You buy a Toyota for reliability, engineering and value.

Except that Toyota now sucks on Reliability? I rented a Rav4 (2006) and it was total POS, cheap hard plastics, rattles, PASS

My 2007 Rav4 Limited is perfect from day 1. Yes it has some hard plastics but it an inexpensive car. Not one rattle or problem and the V6 is smooth powerful and gives relatively good MPG.

It is clearly not in the class of a BMW but its not meant to be.

Toyota's build quality has been slipping of late. By July of 2006, every Toyota model had been, in some way or proportion, affected by a recall. That's not very promising. From power steering to airbags to moonroofs that shatter and failed transmissions.........Toyota's growing too fast. Heck, has anyone sat in an Avalon that DIDN'T have misaligned panels?

Yes they have had some problems but they are still reliable.

That's because they're slightly more sophisticated than a skateboard.
