"My next computer was..."

I am out of town attending an educational course. So I get in to the hotel after flying all day (still don't have my luggage...), and decide to just eat in the hotel.

While eating alone, I am overhearing other people at nearby tables. Always entertaining. The best was the man and woman, ~45 years old, clearly on their first date. I hear a variety of small talk, but the best was when the guy said "My next computer was a Radio Shack Tandy..."

Anybody else heard of such bad date chatter?

I find that funny because I know a couple of guys that would do just that. Even funnier is that they're both married. They found their soul mates I guess.

I was at a mexican restaurant, and next to us was your typical ignorant American, and I overheard "I don't know where Beliz is, do you."
I muttered under my breath "I do, and it's Belize." Then, Cinco De Mayo came up, but the guy pronounced it "Cinco de Maaayo" (like mayo on a burger). I muttered "It's Cinco de Maio"

Actually, they may be made for each other. I heard her correcting him, telling him that Tandy owned Radio Shack, not the other way around, etc. Apparently, geek loves geek. Or something.

If he would have said, "My next computer is a TRS-80" she would definetly drop her droors.

25 CLS
30 ? Name$ & ", will you bang me?";
