Easter plans? (Or weekend plans if you don't celebrate Easter)?
Anyone doing anything special for Easter? Or, anything fun this weekend planned for those of you who don't celebrate it?

I have school off tomorrow for Good Friday, so I'll be driving down to my grandmother's house in Bristol, Connecticut. I'm psyched about driving the I-91/I-84 interchange in Hartford again.. Just overjoyed.. We're spending the night there and then driving back up North... Then my brother goes back to college on Sunday night.

Taking the boat for a 4 night getaway to a resort marina about 3-4 hours south of Tampa. First real boat trip of the year. As for Easter itself, we'll find a sunrise service (I hope), then it's off to a big brunch, then take a nap while the kids swim.

Turning off my cell phone in about an hour, when I leave work, and not turning it back on until Tuesday, when we get back. That alone will make the trip worth it.

I'm not going to be "doing" anything special as in an event. However, I shall complete one of my renovation projects of the 4th floor bathroom.

I demolished these old 70s tiles with a Hammerdrill on Monday. On Tuesday I bought lots of Turkish tumbled marble tiles (4" by 4") and I've been "laying them down."

I'm gonna finish off today, apply silicone sealant, let it dry. Then apply grout, let that dry. Then tomorrow the final sealant and border.

By the weekend, I will also have new doorknobs, new bathroom cabinets, plus a new granite top for the bathroom (I ordered this 2 weeks ago).

Not much of a "treat" perhaps, but I'm excited.

Unfortunately, the wife and I will be packing up everything this long weekend. We're moving away from the city and all its hustle and bustle to find refuge somewhere with more land. Basically we need more space/backyard for the kid to play.

Well, look on the bright side. Life will be quieter and more peaceful, and I'm sure your kid will love having a yard!

We'll be going up the in-laws' in Winston Salem (about an hour from us) for Easter dinner. My Italian father-in law is retired Italian and he is a wonderful cook! It's always a thrill to go up there, have some great food and wine (and Armagnac), and enjoy a few laughs...

Toronto has some nice suburbs, and some have nice golf courses too. I am sure you will like your new neighbourhood.
