Norton Symantec Help!
So, I spent some seriousazz time downloading and installing the
6 "urgent updates" from MicroSoft this eve. Download, install, full fookin restart, blah blah. Now, when I think I have my system back to normal I see that the ol'Norton button doesn't show up in my toolbar. So, I waddle into Norton and it says my anti-virus isn't "On", when I hit it, it says "Refreshing", which is Norton's way of saying it isn't and won't freakin work and, when I dig into it it tells me I'm not the Admin, can't screw with it, and I must uninstall and reinstall Norton to see if it will work. Besides shooting this fragile, crappy piece of software, what else should I try to make the sumbitch work? And, another question: I have Windows/Microsoft scheduled for auto updates at 3:00 AM; this pile of recent updates was scheduled for Tuesday I had read. I wonder why it didn't "do it" overnight instead of me having to pull it down and install myself? And, I ain't getting a Mac, just to avoid this, .Any comments, good opins and real help would be appreciated. Thanks...mD
