I don't get it. Unless your vehicle has staggered AND directional tires (which I don't know if any of the sport packages did), there's nothing wrong with that statement.

Except that BMW specifically does not recommend rotation.

The SA should know that.

No offense, but if you rely on the mfr.'s recommendation, or lack thereof in this case, that's pretty dumb. Do you also believe in "lifetime" fluids? All that just defies common sense.

Even if the tires are staggered, if they're not directional, you can still rotate them left-right.

Rotating tires helps reduce irregular tire wear. Unless you have "lifetime tires," no reason not to rotate if you can.

You're right - I'm a moron.

Keeping my wheels balanced and my car aligned is dumb. I'll just rotate the tires.

The point is the SA should know better than that - it has nothing to do with the owner.
