Actually a good choice as it is a safe vehicle with little power , just don't put the M badge on the back

Thanks for the responses guys, especially the one that says that its "about how much you appreciate what you have". The first one was harsh, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion, thats y i made this thread.

You're fine. Where I went to high school, everyone's dad was a doctor or lawyer. As a result, the student lot at the high school had cars that were worth well more than the cars in the teachers' lot.

Just don't go around showing off what you really didn't "earn", and you'll be fine. I had my mom's '96 Lexus ES to drive around to/from school and work, and while that was pretty woeful to drive, I always knew it was better than a '99 Honda Civic or whatever else most kids have. Soon I'll be taking the X3 with me down to UVa (I'm sorry, but that town is a "strip mall" kind of town. Can't get anywhere without a car). As long as you appreciate and recognize that you're better off than others, you're okay. It's really the attitude.

Now I don't have everything. No iPod, no fancy electronic stuff, no $250 sunglasses, and I'm wayyyy cheap on food spending. But then again, I don't need those things, and nor do I ask for them.

Many people will be a little envious Bestman, I myself had to wait until 40 before I could afford my X5! That doesn't mean you dont deserve it though and if your parents think you do then well done to you! You are obviously mature enough to handle it and look after it so welcome to X5 world! May you have many troublefree miles and smiles!
