Are you fed up with all the catalogs in your mailbox?
Edit; Make sure you read the About Us section http://www.catalogchoice.org/

95% of the catalogs I get in the mail are not mailed to me or my address specifically. They simply say the "resident" and the name of my town on the label. I think the mailman just puts on in each mailbox automatically. So for that situation, I don't see how it would work.

I don't get very many catalogs. What I hate is all the junk advertisements from every place under the sun. All I can think about is the wasted trees that were destroyed to produce these mass mailed mailbox fillers.

Hey NOVAX5,
I never asked for those paper-wasting advertisements to be mailed to me. If I had it would be my bad. But I didn't. And I don't want them. I don't even LOOK at them except to make sure some important piece of mail didn't get stuck in there with it somewhere. I may not be a true "environmentalist" but I am concerned about the environment. That's why I do my best not to waste the resources I do use. I plan the outings in my "polluting" BMW so that I use as little gas as possible. I live close to work (less than 10 miles) and try to do my shopping and errands on my way home. If I could I would work from home and not have to drive to work at all. BTW, my BMW X3 gets better gas mileage and pollutes less than the only other car I have owned since 1991. I also recycle everything I can including computer components. I am well aware of the impact the heavy metals in them can have on ground water and WILL NOT throw those things in a dumpster to be buried in a landfill. I agree that some things are unavoidable in today's society, like having to drive an automobile of some sort, but there are a lot of things everyone can do to lessen the impact on our environment. In my opinion one of those things are retailers cutting down on the mass-mailed advertisements that nobody asked for and generally don't even look at.
