Are you fed up with all the catalogs in your mailbox?

I decided to take action after my friend suggested this site. He swears it works. I will give you an update in 10 weeks.
Edit; Make sure you read the About Us section

95% of the catalogs I get in the mail are not mailed to me or my address specifically. They simply say the "resident" and the name of my town on the label. I think the mailman just puts on in each mailbox automatically. So for that situation, I don't see how it would work.

I don't get very many catalogs. What I hate is all the junk advertisements from every place under the sun. All I can think about is the wasted trees that were destroyed to produce these mass mailed mailbox fillers.

I have a few on my list of 36 that are of the "resident" kind, I'll let you know if they keep coming.

Glad you hear you are a environmentalist, how about driving a bike (wait, thats metal, gotta save metal too) or walk to save air from getting polluted by your BMW exhaust. And remember when your BMW goes to junk yards some 20 years later, there are whole bunch of materials in it will not decay for at least a million year. Best thing to do is to live nude and dont consume anything. I shredded 100 times more than whatever advertisers paper in my mail box a day. What can I do? use computer files instead of hard copies? Wait, computer components take millions years to decay when they got thrown out. What can i do? Tell me you are annoyed because its simply "annoying" to have your mailbox filled of junks you dont need, not because you were thinking about trees getting cut down to produce the paper. Now thats honest.

Hey NOVAX5,

I never asked for those paper-wasting advertisements to be mailed to me. If I had it would be my bad. But I didn't. And I don't want them. I don't even LOOK at them except to make sure some important piece of mail didn't get stuck in there with it somewhere.

I may not be a true "environmentalist" but I am concerned about the environment. That's why I do my best not to waste the resources I do use. I plan the outings in my "polluting" BMW so that I use as little gas as possible. I live close to work (less than 10 miles) and try to do my shopping and errands on my way home. If I could I would work from home and not have to drive to work at all. BTW, my BMW X3 gets better gas mileage and pollutes less than the only other car I have owned since 1991. I also recycle everything I can including computer components. I am well aware of the impact the heavy metals in them can have on ground water and WILL NOT throw those things in a dumpster to be buried in a landfill.

I agree that some things are unavoidable in today's society, like having to drive an automobile of some sort, but there are a lot of things everyone can do to lessen the impact on our environment. In my opinion one of those things are retailers cutting down on the mass-mailed advertisements that nobody asked for and generally don't even look at.
