Oh lord, lets bail out the sub-primes....

Apparently Hillary Clinton has blamed WallStreet for all the sub-prime issues and is asking for a 90-day moratorium on foreclosures and freeze of adjustable rates. Hmm, that should have a WONDERFUL impact on the economy.

We are just now learning that the economy rises and falls with traders? Come on now, same thing with fuel prices. Nothing to do with anything aside from future traders trading on months of oil that hasn't come in yet.

Rant over....

What more proof is needed that Clinton is a Marxist?
I spend within my limits, I certainly don't want to pay (in higher taxes) for all the morons who can't.
What part of 'Adjustable' in 'adjustable rate mortgage' did these people not understand when they bought that $850,000 house?

I saw an interview yesterday on a woman who was complaining she had just bought her first home and now her payment was going to double. First off, most lenders tell you to read the fine print about rate adjustment, but it is tedious so people avoid it. Second....and most important...the woman was.........71 years old. What clown lender wrote a brand new adjustable mortgage to a person who could not possibly live out the time to pay the debt???? Where was underwriting on that one?

I'm with you guys on this one. If we indeed live in a Capitalist country, then there is NO WAY that the government should bail anyone out of this one, including the banks. Otherwise this is going to turn out to be just like the Savings & Loans bailout in the early 90s. I don't pay taxes so that that government can give corporate welfare to some business that made poor decisions. If they made poor decisions, then they deserve to go bankrupt.

If someone wants to change this economy to socialist, then that is a whole other subject. But if we are capitalist, then we are capitalist. Don't say we are capitalist, but then do socialist things. It is either one way or the other. Capitalism means "free market", i.e. the government keeps out of it.

Don't fool yourself into thinking that their goal is to bail out the poor people who are losing their homes. The goal here is to bail out the mortgage companies who are in danger of going out of business if there are too many forclosures. As is usual for Washington politicians, they don't give a crap about normal people, but they care deeply about the big corporations who donate millions of dollars to their campaigns.

What's wrong with that? It is the mortgage companies that make up a HUGE chunk of Wallstreet which is where the world gets its money (cough cough, oil and gas wouldn't cost nearly as much if it weren't for futures trading).

It's those large banks that keep the world going. You don't think BMW has a couple 100 loans out? Or any major business for that matter? Everything revolves around loans now, houses, health care companies, banks, cars, fuel, food...everything. To let it fall apart would doom the whole modernized world.
