OK, an update:

1. The folks at the Swim and Beach Club called me and said that they will let me use the place for free. Yup, gratis. Kostenloss. I do a lot of volunteer work for the city and the local Lions club. They decided to reward me by letting me use it for free. Cool, huh?

2. I have the DJ lined up. He'll be there from 2:00 PM 6:00 PM, or so.

3. There is a local Carolina barbeque place here that I will contact to provide us with some chow. We've used this place before, and it's some good stuff. Anyone ever had some authentic Carolina BBQ? Again, if anyone has any dietary limits (vegetarian, for example), please let me know. I will accomodate you.

4. I was at the dealer today, and talked to a couple of folks there. I don't have a definitive answer, but looks like they'll be willing to provide us with a few goodies (BMW coffee mugs, hats, maybe?) that we can maybe raffle off or as prizes (see below).

5. I thought it'd be fun to have a little trivia game. The restriction, however, is that the trivia subjects would be X5, X5World, or X5World members! What do you guys think?

6. I will put together a little "package" with directions, local hotels, places of interest, and so forth.

Again, any suggestions and/or ideas are welcome and encouraged.

Juan

You got it! The place from which we get our BBQ has both "eastern Carolina" (vinegar-based) and "western Carolina" (tomato sauce-based). Here, eastern vs. western carolina BBQ is about as heated an argument as "Carolina vs. Duke." You can't like both, by the way. It's one or the other. I prefer eastern Carolina BBQ, but they're both good.
