Question pda cell phone

Getting a new cell phone next month and thinking about a PDA. Windows or Palm, Brand,
etc... (besides iPhone)
Any suggestions?
I am on AT&T right now, but contract is up.

Thx ahead!

If I was on ATT, I would probably get the iPhone. It seems pretty slick, what little I have looked at it. I used to be the biggest Palm fan in the world, but abandoned them last year, after they essentially abandoned their customers. I moved over to a Windows Mobile Smartphone, and have greatly enjoyed it.

I'm not sure why you are discounting getting an iPhone. It's an awesome PDA, phone, and mobile computer.

My Palm 700P is gonna find a new home to make room for the iPhone soon as my Verizon contract is up. Hope the coverage is just as good !!!

Cool

I'm on the peninsula in the SF Bay area and so far, coverage for me is much better with the iPhone and AT&T. (I had the Palm 700w with Verizon prior)

depends on where you live........here in LA, Verizon has the best coverage, but up in SF, apparently Verizon isn't as good and ATT is better. I have a couple of friends who switched from Verizon to ATT when they moved up to SF.

I have both an iPhone and a Blackberry 8800. If you plan on doing a lot of typing on your PDA, then a BB may be a better bet. I have all my personal email go to the iPhone and it works great for text messages and very short emails. Anything longer is much easier to type on the BB. If I could only have one device, I suppose I would sacrifice the typing and go with the iPhone, but I do type a lot of emails on the BB when traveling and it is just easier to knock out long messages.

Thx to all. iPhone, I don't know about Mac and compatability with windows. Also I need extra download space for medical programs on the PDA.

If your apps are Windows Mobile, then your choices are considerably narrowed. This is your primary requirement then.
