it is not fully automated flight. there was a pilot on that plane. he was charged with manslaughter ended up serving 6 months on prison and 12 months probation. 5 were charged including air france officials. 3 died out of 130. the pilot asserted it read 30 m (100ft) but in fact it was 30 ft (10m) altitude. si and english units messed up again.
