Yahoo IM Wonderment...
(Don't ask why... ).The install went fine and it works; however, I now have an additional Yahoo top header tool bar thing. That's in addition to my normal address bar, my normal Yahoo bar and my GOOG bar. Next to this new "Y!" is a litany of stuff/tabs/boxes: Bookmarks, Settings, Messenger, Mail, (don't use/have Yahoo mail that I know of), MySpace , News, etc. When I try to toss this new "bar/header" thing it simply closes out my browser... Is there any way to retain Yahoo IM and ditch this additional header/tool bar thing? If my explanation of above is not succinct, it's my caveman brain wiring at work, .Thanks, OlUncMtr

use AIM?
![]() You mean this is in your internet browser? So then go to toolbars and uncheck the Yahoo one. You should still be able to use it because it's its own application right?

If you are using IE the use menu View/Toolbars and uncheck Yahoo! Toolbar. You may find that doing an update on Yahoo Messenger activates the toolbar again. It's a PITA.

bar eroded to a reasonable list of horizontal bs, but I can't make it go away w/o the Y messenger deal reactivating it. I did the Yahoo IM to talk one of V's near-do-well bro's off his constant ledge. (It's a fookin DrPhil story), but I have my headers(sss) back to a managable "stack", if you will. Domo, mD |
