Not a surprise at all. If people lie about their income to buy houses doing so for cars shouldn't be be a shock.

I mean what kind of reasonable person walks into a dealership without showing a drivers license, inflates her income by nearly 150%, ends up with a monthly lease payment of $1,300 that eats up half her income which is a $2,500 disability check?

And yes there had to be some illegal shenanigans going on at the dealership
but she had to want this deal.......

If the $2500.00 a month is all she's getting; what about living expenses, insurance, and on and on and on.... Don't know where she lives but an apartment in the Bay area can hit you for at least $1000.00 a month. Maybe more....... Oh well to each his own.......

people sometimes gets excited without thinking what they are getting into. You may call it dumb but it happens. I got friends who spends like millionaires and has a debt to income ratio of 90%, dont ask me how they can survive. BTW, so where is this east fo eden (your location)?

Jeez... first of all Should the dealer or the FS actually look into it? its not their problem if the lady lies? they jsut have to reposes the car.
second, the lady put dwn $30k, so any finance company will finance someone putting down that much money....haha it was a lease too. that is one Dumb lady.... totally her fault.
Must have been a M6 convertible. 30k dwn on a lease and a $1300 note.
