Waterboarding, necessary but proabably illegal - CIA
http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/02/...ing/index.html
OK then, it is necessary for me to have a couple million dollars but probably illegal for me to rob a couple banks. But, since it is necessary..... Oh how I long for the good ol' 1950's intel agencies where you didn't know who they were, you didn't know what they did BUT they got results. Now we know what they do, where they are and nothing gets accomplished. If we had a real war like WWII or something now, we'd be screwed by the media headlines: "Was it really necessary to blow up the church the Nazis were hiding in?" "Did you have to drop quite so many bombs on Bremen?" "D-Day, great victory or piss poor planing because of the weather, you decide." "Watch live as US forces mass off the coast of France!!" "Pearl Harbor, why did we have a base there in the first place?" "Nose art on B-24's found to be tasteless and offensive to women." "Col. Doolittle brought up on charges of troop endangerment" "Kamikaze troops, dedicated to their homeland"
