Man...$200 for 2 dozen red roses delivered on Valentines day

I'm glad I changed my mind at the last minute and decided on jewelery. I'd spend 5 times that on something she will have for longer than a week.

That said...Do I buy a dozen roses anyway and have them delivered to her work?

LOL...I'm a sucker. I just ordered them anyway because two dozen works out well...A dozen from me and a dozen from my son Sebastian.

Jewelery to follow.

Why? V Day has become another reason to buy something for spouse
and stuff like roses are jacked up 100% plus on that day.

I get my wife cut flowers, selected by yours truly, at our local florist,
about 4 or 5 times a year; $35 buys a bundle of cuts you can barely
carry home.

Are you trying to impress your wife, her co-workers or, work off guilt?

Do what you must, but it's a bs "special day",imo...I love my wife to bits
each day, (more so every day, even after 25+ yrs), and she knows it.
Roses are overdone...how 'bout a live orchid from Walmart for <$20. If
kept in indirect light, and fresh when bought, it should keep its blooms
for weeks and come back next year with lil' care.
My Qtr's up.

1000%.

If i came home with flowers that cost that much my wife would give me a look that would burn a hole in the back of my head and then i would have received a lecture about what could have been done what that money.

As much as I care about my girlfriend, I send her flowers at work to remind her coworkers as much if not more than her to say "hey - she's mine, and I love her too!". She's very attractive and works with a lot competitive guys that ask her out all time, so they back off and she feels loved .

And, she's not at the age yet where she thinks about opportunity/differential costs with what I spend my money on, so I'm toast if I try to explain that are better things to spend money on than flowers!

Do you think it's a coincidence that Valentine's Day and "venereal diseases" share the same initials?

Go buy your wife some flowers... It's cheaper than a divorce lawyer..

C'mon she loves the attention and you sound a little insecure!

Insecure is definitely one thing that I am not - that said, nobody likes to have a wife or girlfriend hit on by other guys on a daily basis. The other part of the equation is that she is 3000 miles away for the next few months on an internship, so it's not like I can just show up and take her to lunch or anything
