any electricians on here?

I'm making my own hard wired cord for my V1 to tap off of the power in the rear view mirror on a Vette. I have everything I need but the connectors that go on the end of the phone wire.

What are the metal connectors called on the end of the red/green wires in that picture and where can i get them?

Thanks in advance.

(and yes, I'm sure you're asking "why not ask on the vette board", and that's because there's a forum vendor on there who sells the cord for $13 a piece and I didn't want to be rude asking "how do you do that")

Why would you need a V1 in your Vette? You're not planning on exceeding the speed limit in that thing, are you? HA!!!

Sorry for the useless post - I can't help on this one.

Oh - BTW - I'd bet a quick run to Radio Shack would solve the problem...

I am not an electrician, but I think you're referring to wire tap-in squeeze connectors. You need to get one that is designed for the guage of wire you're connecting. You don't need to strip the wire. These are nice b/c no exposed metal and it's a "snap." Pun intended.
