Factory Outlets / Big shopping centres in LA area ?
We are going to have a holiday in 14 days in LA + San Diego. Is there anyone who knows some good (and large) factory outlets, or Shopping Malls / Centres in that area ? Kind regards Thomas , Denmark |

There are two not far from LA.
1) Camarillo outlets by Camarillo airport.. 2) I can't remember the name of the second one but it's on the road to Palm Springs and it's huge. I'm sure someone else knows the name. They are both about 1hr or so from LA but in opposite directions. B

There is a really good outlet mall in Carlsbad, CA, but that is pretty far from LA.

Cabazon is the other outlet B-Line was referring to. it's right next to the Morongo Hotel and Casino, so if you get tired of shopping and your wife is still going, you can hop in and do a little gambling.
there's the Citadel off the 10 freeway, but I'm not sure how good it is. for shopping centers/areas in LA, you can check out Westfield Century City, Beverly Center, Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica, The Grove, the Rodeo Drive area in Beverly Hills if you want some REALLY expensive stuff. EDIT: forgot to also mention South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa down in Orange County. about 45 minutes away from LA. |

My vote is for: Cabazon (world class outlet shopping, but a good 1.5 hours away) I also love South Coast Plaza, Rodeo Drive and The Beverly Center, The Grove is just too busy! In San Diego there are the Viejas Outlets and Carlsbad Company Stores for outlets, also Fashion Valley is nice Hit us up when you are here

go to South Coast Plaza and Cabazon. Here's a link to the Cabazon outlets with the good stuff http://www.premiumoutlets.com/outlets/outlet.asp?id=6. It's actually called Desert Hills Premium Outlets but everyone calls it cabazon. I just went there last week and picked up a bunch of lacoste shirts for $55 bucks each also got a TUMI carry-on luggage for $120 off. Just make sure you go early because its easy to spend an entire day there and not go to every store you'd like. Be prepared to make multiple trips back to your car to drop off stuff and bring a jacket! its windy over there
