The Bull*hit stops when the green flag drops
Hey All,
So this past week, I was in Vegas for a race weekend. It was a Skip Barber Western Series/Southern Series combined weekend. Even though I did not get on the podium, it was a great week. I didn't crash or have any car to car contact and that is always a VERY good thing. Thought I would share some pictures with the gang. Some of the pictures, I am the subject, some of the pictures, I am the photographer. I am the guy in the white helmet with the black tape running up the middle. I know, I know, I need to have my helmet painted. My brother is the one in the multi-colored, green and yellow helmet. My first race, I qualified 5th, made my way up to 3rd place but went four off into the gravel at turn 4. I finished in 6th place. - For race 2, you start in the position you finished race 1 in. So I started 6th place, made my way to 4th place, spun and finished in 9th place. It was a a very fun track at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Me:   My bro: (I was the photographer on these shots.) Looks like a fabulous day on the track!
 I had a couple of friends up there this weekend, but I was in Denver skiing. I'm jealous though, it looks like you guys had even more fun!

A lot of drivers in our league were kart drivers and this is the next step in a direction towards what was, Formula Atlantic or Indy Car. But it is also considered a developmental league for all types of road course racing. And yes, the fastest drivers are usually kids who have tons of karting experience and monster racing budgets. Skip Barber and their race series both regional and national has created a Who's who of road course racers, from the Andretti's to practically ever 24hr. of Daytona winner.
