The one about his pastor's statements? The explanation makes sense. Just because he's your pastor doesn't mean he speaks for you. The loyalty to the man is understandable so I can't really fault Obama for it. Trying to attribute those statements to Obama is a bit much.
I am not an Obama fan so I don't think I'm biased. I think he gives great speeches but speeches are just words and talk is cheap so....

I thought Obama basically said the same thing I said in this thread a couple of months ago:
http://www.xoutpost.com/lounge/42173-...ltimore-3.html He said that people are the product of their environment and that white people need to understand the anger behind those comments, and not just dismiss the comments as reverse racism -- the same point I was trying to make in that thread. BTW, I thought it was an excellent speech.

i thought it was a very good speech. This campaign is very interesting, isn't it? Both dem candidates have already had their share of challenges from their supporters. I think that getting beyond the rhetoric is going to be tougher in this campaign than most. I appreciate the vision that Obama presents because I think that is lacking in the present administration. Still, I would classify myself as an undecided voter.
