Talking Yeah baby! M5 now sharing garage space with the X!!

Yup, after seven years of lusting, drooling and dreaming after the e39 M5, there is now one lurking in my garage!

Its a 2001 Carbon Black, in mint condition. (Carbon black may be about the best color on a BMW I've ever seen. Looks deep blue in some light, black in overcast or low light, and throws off hints of cobalt and purple in direct sun)
And, its also faster than %&@#

The look on a ricers' (Mitsu Evo IX, Subie STi, etc, no reason to even count the Civics) face when you blow his doors off with a four door sedan that has two kids in the backseat is worth every penny of admission. The look on the passenger's face is even better! (he would be the one laughing his ass off!)

Found it in California, drove it all over the state, then up to Tacoma, putting 2600 miles on it. We dropped it off at the Tacoma docks for shipment to Anchorage. It spent the first week at home in the garage, getting all its fluids changed and a general deep-cleaning, and I've been ripping it around town ever since.

There is a rumor that it has already seen an indicated 160. Not that I would ever do such a thing, being illegal and all.

So the X5 has always been my wife's main ride. I never got to drive it to work or anything. Now, all the sudden, she is saying that I can take the X to work and leave her the M5 anytime I want.

Hmm, strange.

WoW! Congrats! That's one of my favorite BMW cars/colors too! Can't imagine you run across these every day in AK! What color is the interior?

Very nice. I always liked those wheels on the e39 M5. Give us some more pics with the interior too.
Congrats.
