A new way to force oil companies to lower prices (not the buy no gas on monday deal)

Ok, We all know the buy no gas on a certain week day bit never had any real way of helping our case of forcing the Oil companies to lower their prices. But now there is a better way to get something into action. Just hear it out.

Gas prices are determined by the buyer not the sellers. If we don't buy the prices will drop or they will drop. So instead of now buying gas on monday, how about not buying gas at all from the 2 biggest oil companies, Mobil & Exxon. Which in one large company anyhow. Let just buy gas from any other gas station, Hess, etc... If we all follow suit then the company would be forced to lower their pricing to draw back customers, or be forced to close! This could set an example to other oil companies to lower the cost or be forced out of the market.

So if we just do this very simple task and avoid these stations and pass on this info to 10 people and so on and so on.... Prices could drop by summer, Think about it!! $2.00 a gallon instead of $4.00 Sure it's not the miricle answer but it's food for thought!
